JAMB UTME Subject Combination

In UTME, note that English Language is mandatory for all courses. The other three subjects required to study Economics and Development Studies under the Faculty of Arts and Humanities in the institutions listed above are:

Economics, Mathematics and any of Government, History, Geography, Lit-in-English, French and CRK/IRK.

O’Level Requirements for UTME Candidates

To apply for Economics and Development Studies as a UTME candidate, you require: Five SSCE credit passes to include English Language, Mathematics, Economics and at least two other relevant courses preferably in Commerce, Government and Accounting subjects

Requirements for Direct Entry Candidates

To apply for Economics and Development Studies as a Direct Entry candidate, you require: NCE/ National Diploma with Upper Credit in the relevant subjects in addition to five credits at SSCE in not more than two sittings
