
Ninety-One students Nigerian students have been honoured by the British Council and Cambridge International Examinations (CIE), for their exceptional performance in the November 2017 and June 2018 Cambridge examination series.
The event which was held at Civic Centre Towers, Victoria Island was used to celebrate the 75th Anniversary as an Organisation in Nigeria also recognised partner schools from the Partner Schools Global Network (PSGN) that have exemplified best practice policies for Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) and Child Protection.

Of the 91 students specially recognised at the award ceremony, three received prestigious ‘Top of the World’ awards for gaining the highest standard mark in the world in a single subject. They are Omoshemi Favour Oloriegbe of Childville School, Lagos, Prince Ogunlana of Lifeforte International High School and Chinaza Adaeze Osuji of Chrisland College.
Other Notable mentions are Ojorumi Oluwadamilare Aneke of Lifeforte International High School with the Award of Best across Four International AS Levels for November 2017 Examination Series, Abdullahi Kalli Ja’afa of The Regent Secondary School, Abuja with the Award of Best Across Eight Cambridge IGCSEs, Ebube Terrell Menakaya with Best Across Eight Cambridge O’Levels, Wisdom-James Ododooluwa Olopade with Best Across Four Cambridge International AS Levels and Prince Ogunlana with Best Across three Cambridge International A Levels from Lifeforte International School.

Present at the events were Principals and Administrators of various secondary Schools in Nigeria, The Regional Director, Cambridge International Examinations, Sub-Saharan Africa, Juan Visser, had words to say about the learners and Cambridge.
The Country Director, Nigeria, British Council, Lucy Pearson, was also present at the Awards ceremony to recognize outstanding learners and partner with schools that exemplify best practice policies for EDI and child protection.
“EDI involves treating people fairly, encouraging diversity, promoting dignity and inclusion, while child protection ensures children are protected from abuse, exploitation and negligence. We encourage international best practice within our community of partner schools through our PSGN and offer high-quality educational products and services that support our leaders, teachers, learners and parents.”

Notable mention to students who received High Achievement Awards for achieving outstanding results in Subjects. Students from Lifeforte International, Oxbridge Tutorial College, Grange School, Avi-Cenna International School, Day Waterman College, Olashore International School went home with their Awards.
