JAMB UTME Subject Combination

In UTME, note that English Language is mandatory for all courses. The other three subjects required to study International Relations under the Faculty of Administration in the institutions listed above are:

Mathematics and any two of the following: Economics, History, Government, Geography, Literature in English and French.

Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks

(i) OAU requires English Language, Mathematics, Government and any other Social Science subject.

O’Level Requirements for UTME Candidates

To apply for International Relationsas a UTME candidate, you require: Five SSCE credit passes including English Language, Government and Mathematics and any other two relevant subjects.

Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks

(i) OAU requires five ‘O’ Level credits which must include English Language, Mathematics, Government plus any two other subjects from History, Geography and Yoruba.

(ii) WELLSPRING accepts a pass in Mathematics provided the candidate has a total of five credits including English language, Government/History, and Economics.

Requirements for Direct Entry Candidates

To apply for International Relations as a Direct Entry candidate, you require: Two ‘A’ level passes in any of the following subjects: Government, Economics, History and French.

Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks

(i) WELLSPRING accepts two A’ level passes (including NABTEB).
