JAMB UTME Subject Combination

In UTME, note that English Language is mandatory for all courses. The other three subjects required to study Common and Islamic Law under the Faculty of Law in the institutions listed above are:

Any three Arts or Social Science subjects including Arabic or Islamic Studies

Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks

(i) UDUSOK requires Arabic

(ii) Any two Arts or Social Science subjects including Literature in English.

O’Level Requirements for UTME Candidates

To apply for Common and Islamic Law as a UTME candidate, you require: Five ‘O’ level credit passes in Arts or Social Sciences to include English Language and Islamic Studies or Arabic.

Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks

(i) UNILORIN accepts any three other subjects.

(ii) BUK requires Islamic Studies/Arabic and Literature in English for Common and Islamic Law.

Requirements for Direct Entry Candidates

To apply for Common and Islamic Law as a Direct Entry candidate, you require: Two ‘A’ level passes to include Islamic Studies or Arabic

Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks

(i) BUK does not accept NCE.
