JAMB UTME Subject Combination

In UTME, note that English Language is mandatory for all courses. The other three subjects required to study Mass Communication under the Faculty of Arts and Humanities in the institutions listed above are:

Any three subjects from Arts/Social Science/Physical 
Science.

O’Level Requirements for UTME Candidates

To apply for Mass Communication as a UTME candidate, you require: English Language and Mathematics and any three other subjects from:History,Literature in English, Economics/Commerce,Fine Arts,Government,Biology Physics,ChemistryBasic Electricity,Geography, Typewriting,Commerce/Principles of Accounting.

Requirements for Direct Entry Candidates

To apply for Mass Communication as a Direct Entry candidate, you require: (i)NILEST, IBDANPOLY and OSUNPOLY require credit 
pass in Mathematics.

(ii)NILEST, OKOPOLY and MAPA require 5 credits 
at not more than two sittings.

(iii)IMTE ENUGU :accepts a credit in any of Chemistry, 
Physics, Biology, or Mathematics as one of the credit requirements.

(iv)LASPOTECH requires a credit in a Physical Sci. subject and Geography. Accepts Yoruba as 
course requirement.

(v)ABUTH: accepts Agricultural Science in lieu 
of Biology as course requirements.

(vi)YABATECH accepts credits pass in Yoruba as 
course requirement. Also requires Yoruba, 
History/Government as UTME subject.

(vii)IBDANPOLY requires 3 other subjects from Geography, Yoruba, History, Government, IRS/CRK and any Physical Science subject.

(viii)AKPOLY :accepts CRS and Principle of Accounts

(ix)RUGIPO : require credit passes in Literature in English and accepts a pass in Mathematics. It 
also accepts Yoruba, CRK/IRK at credit level.

(x)OFFAPOY: requires Literature in English as 
compulsory UTME subjects and any two other subjects from Yoruba/Igbo/Hausa, Commerce/Economic/Government, 
Biology/Agric. Science/Geography, CRS/IRS.

(xi)NEKEDEPOLY: requires credit pass in one Basic 
Science subject, and any two from Government, Literature in English, Geography,Commerce, Economics,Igbo, CRS, Fine Arts, History, Information 
Communication Technology.

(xii)OSUNPOLY : accepts CRS/IRS, Yoruba at credit 
level.

(xiii)MAPOLY: A minimum of pass in Literature in English will be an added advantage.

(xiv)FIDEIPOLY :requires five credit passes at not 
more than two sittings at WAEC, NECO and 
NABTEB in the following subjects: English Language, Mathematics and any three from Literature in English, Economics, Commerce,Geography, Government,CRS, Fine Arts, History, and Information Communication 
Technology.
