JAMB UTME Subject Combination
In UTME, note that English Language is mandatory for all courses. The other three subjects required to study Political Science under the Faculty of Arts and Humanities in the institutions listed above are:
Government/History and two other Social Science or Arts subject.
Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks
(i) ADELEKE accepts Mathematics, Government and any other Social Science subject.
O’Level Requirements for UTME Candidates
To apply for Political Science as a UTME candidate, you require: Five SSCE credit passes to include English Language, Government/History and any other three subjects from Arts/Social Science with at least a pass in Mathematics.
Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks
(i) ADELEKE accepts five O’ level credit passes obtained at not more than two sittings in relevant subjects to include English Language, Government, Mathematics and any other two Social Science subjects.
(ii) FUWUKARI – Same as in Economics.
(iii) FULOKOJA requires credit passes in English Language, Government/History, two Social Science subjects and any other subject. Candidates must have at least a pass in Mathematics.
Requirements for Direct Entry Candidates
To apply for Political Science as a Direct Entry candidate, you require: Two A’ level passes to include Government or History.
Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks
(i) ADELEKE in addition to O’ level requirements accepts GCE A’ level or HSC/NCE pass in Economics or Business Management and at least one other subject; or ND Business Administration (Upper credit) from recognised Polytechnics.
