JAMB UTME Subject Combination

In UTME, note that English Language is mandatory for all courses. The other three subjects required to study English Language and Communication Studies under the Faculty of Arts and Humanities in the institutions listed above are:

Literature-in-English, one other Arts subject and another Arts or Social Science subject.

O’Level Requirements for UTME Candidates

To apply for English Language and Communication Studies as a UTME candidate, you require: Five SSCE credit passes to include Literature in English and English Language and three other Arts or Social Science subjects.

Requirements for Direct Entry Candidates

To apply for English Language and Communication Studies as a Direct Entry candidate, you require: Two ‘A’ level passes to include Lit.-in-English and one other Arts subject.
