JAMB UTME Subject Combination

In UTME, note that English Language is mandatory for all courses. The other three subjects required to study Communication Arts under the Faculty of Arts and Humanities in the institutions listed above are:

Any three Arts or Social Science subjects.

Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks

(i) UNIUYO – Music/Literature in English/Fine Arts and any two Arts or Social Science subjects.

(ii) BU accept any other subjects in addition to Literature in English.

O’Level Requirements for UTME Candidates

To apply for Communication Arts as a UTME candidate, you require: Five SSCE credit passes or equivalent including English Language, Lit. in English, Arts/Music depending on the combination.

Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks

(i) UNIUYO requires a Pass 7 in Mathematics.

(ii) Bu requires 5 ‘O’ level Credits to include English Language, Literature in English and any other three Arts or Social Science subjects.

Requirements for Direct Entry Candidates

To apply for Communication Arts as a Direct Entry candidate, you require: Two ‘A’ level passes or equivalent in Arts or Social Science subjects.
