JAMB UTME Subject Combination

In UTME, note that English Language is mandatory for all courses. The other three subjects required to study Arabic Language and Literature under the Faculty of Arts and Humanities in the institutions listed above are:

Arabic and Two subjects from Arts and/or Social Sciences.

Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks

(i) KSU requires five SSCE credit passes in English Language, Arabic and three other relevant subjects

O’Level Requirements for UTME Candidates

To apply for Arabic Language and Literature as a UTME candidate, you require: Five SSCE credit passes in English Language, Arabic and three other relevant subjects.

Requirements for Direct Entry Candidates

To apply for Arabic Language and Literature as a Direct Entry candidate, you require: (i) Two ‘A’ level passes in the relevant subjects.

Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks

(i) UI – requires two ‘A’ Level passes in Arabic and any other Arts or Social; Science subjects.
